The Administration of Symantec Backup Exec 2010 certification demonstrates the successful candidate has the understanding and ability needed to administer Symantec Backup Exec 2010.

The qualification covers a range of areas in Backup Exec including:

  • Architecture, installation and concepts
  • Managing devices and media
  • Protecting data
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning and database management
  • Advanced backup options and agents

Candidates should have at least six months field experience with Windows and Symantec Backup Exec 2010 and experience with Windows network and system administration. It is also recommended they complete the available training.

To achieve certification candidates must complete the 250-314 exam.
