What is the path to gaining a JNCIA-SSL certification?

The Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-SSL) for Secure Access (SA) products and deployments is aimed towards those working as network engineers, reseller support, support personnel and anyone else whose role includes employing SA. Candidates should be experienced in their role and have some understanding of SA and its implementation.

Though there are no prerequisites for certification, it is assumed those seeking it - and enrolling in the supplementary training - will have some background in application support, security, networking and internetworking. Candidates are strongly recommended to complete the Configuring Juniper Networks Secure Access training course prior to attempting the exam to ensure they have covered all the necessary material. This includes:

  • Application support
  • Authentication servers
  • End system security
  • IVE technology
  • Logging and Troubleshooting
  • Realms and role mapping
  • Resource policy and profile
  • Sign-in pages and policy
  • User roles

To achieve certification candidates must complete the JN0-562 exam which remains valid for two years. To recertify candidates must complete either the current version of the JNCIA-SSL exam or pass the JNCIS-SSL exam while holding a valid JNCIA-SSL certification.
