What is the path to achieving the CCDP certification?
The Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP®) certification demonstrates a high level of understanding of the concepts involved in network design and principles. The topics covered by the syllabus include how to build scalable internetworks and multilayer switched networks in addition to the design of network service architecture.
It is designed for network professionals already qualified as CCNAs and CCDAs - or alternatively those with a valid CCIE certification.
Once certified, successful candidates will have a validation of their skills in:
- Discussing, designing and creating advanced addressing and routing
- Security
- Network management
- Datacentres
- IP multicast complex multi-layered enterprise architectures
- Virtual private networking
- Wireless domains
To achieve certification candidates must successfully complete the ROUTE, SWITCH and ARCH exams and it is highly recommended they also attend the relevant training courses for each to ensure they have covered all the relevant material.
