What is the path to achieving the BCPSP certification?

The Blue Coat Certified PacketShaper Professional (BCPSP) certification is designed for IT network professionals looking to build on the skills gained in the Blue Coat Certified PacketShaper Administrator (BCPSA) qualification for the installation, operation and configuration of PacketShaper (PS).

Those looking to complete the certification should already have field experience with PS and a good knowledge of networking and application behaviour on WANs in addition to a BCPSA certification.

Certification is achieved by completing the BCPSP training course and subsequent exam. The skills measured and covered in both include the use of reporting features and control measures for the optimisation of networks. Other topics covered include the configuration of traffic trees, identifying and solving (where possible) network problems and configuring PacketShaper to fix those problems.
