LV= Broker staff to benefit from The Leadership Curriculum

Following on from the launch of its Broker Academy early in September 2011, insurance provider LV= Broker has issued a press release announcing that it will be rolling out a new training programme called ‘The Leadership Curriculum’. The initiative aims to support the on-going development of existing staff at the company, and has been designed to improve the skills of employees and help them to advance their careers.

The scheme will be split up into different modules which include team motivation, team-based problem solving, presentation training, software skills, compliance, project management, time management and stakeholder mapping. The modules taken by an employee will depend on which of LV= Broker’s 11 operational teams they are in, as training will be specific to each individual to ensure it is relevant to their work.

Training methods will include online learning and one-to-one coaching, as well as more typical instructor-led classroom style learning. Candidates will be expected to complete the curriculum within 12 to 18 months, during which time they will be given the training they need to enable them to meet the objectives of their business unit over the next five years.

Managing director of LV= Broker, Phil Bunker, says the new initiative will ensure the company remains competitive in the changing marketplace, and will help to develop the LV= Broker’s future leaders.
