How do I gain the Oracle 11g DBA OCP certification?
The Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional qualification is designed for database administrators, technical administrators, support engineers and technical consultants working with the Database 11g (DBA) database management system.
It demonstrates a holder's ability in the automation of DBA tasks with Scheduler, diagnosing and repairing data failures, managing space for the optimisation of resources, monitoring components like memory, performance and resources and securing availability through relevant backup and recovery strategies.
Before attempting certification candidates must complete the Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate certification along with its supplementary course. To become an 11g DBA OCP candidates should complete the Administration Workshop II DBA Release 2 training course, along with the Administration II exam, and then submit a Course Submission Form to Oracle. Once they have verified the candidate has completed all the necessary requirements they will award certification.
