The IBM Certified Solution Designer - Maximo Asset Management V7.1 certification is designed to test, and validate once completed, a candidate's ability and understanding in implementing the Maximo Enterprise Asset Management solution in a client-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is someone whose roles includes the documentation of solution processes and specifics. They will have a working knowledge of Maximo, the capability to assess and analyse service management maturity, knowledge of IBM and third-party products and knowledge of networking environments, relational databases, vendor environments, operating systems and application environments. They will also be familiar with Maximo architecture, production, facility and asset lifecycle management and Enterprise Asset Management process analysis methods.
To achieve certification candidates must complete the 000-005 exam and it is recommended they also complete both available training courses beforehand, though this is not a prerequisite to taking the exam.
