How can I become a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)?

The RHCE certification is designed for senior system administrators, preferably those who are already RHCSA-qualified, and serves to demonstrate the holder's understanding, ability and capability using Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.

Those looking to complete the certification should be either experienced Linux system administrators or IT professionals who are looking for a validation of their skills or are required to gain certification for professional reasons.

The skills tested in the certification exam include:

  • System configuration and management
  • Network services
  • HTTP/HTTPS
  • DNS
  • FTP
  • NFS
  • SMB
  • SMTP
  • SSH

To achieve certification candidates must successfully complete the EX300 exam and it is recommended they also complete the available training beforehand to ensure all the relevant material has been covered.
